Devyn Mikell ‘17 and DeSean Prentice ’15 ‘17
Devyn Mikell and DeSean Prentice are State alumni and the co-founders of the late-night food truck, Twisted Fry. Twisted Fry was created to help prevent students from drinking and driving to go get food after a night out in the town. Prentice handles the marketing and finance and Mikell is the director of operations. Their involvement at State goes beyond the classroom with them both being student-athletes and making connections with the vice president of finance, that has paid off, being a bridge to serving their food at different campus events from basketball and football games to the fountain party. Mikell credits his approach to entrepreneurship to one of his professors Dr. Bhattacharyya who challenged him to think logistically and analytically. On top of being operational with Indiana State the two love giving back to the students through their insight and helping them with the steps of being an entrepreneur one day.
